In the dark ages of the late 1980's, Foolscap & Quill was born to publish the Writer's Pocket Tax Guide in saddle-stitched paper form. The WPTG was followed a few years later
by the Daycare Pocket Tax Guide. In the mid-1990s, the WPTG was distributed in digital text form via e-mail as well as in paperback form. With the birth of the World Wide Web, an HTML version
was also created and made available online. In the 21st century, five other titles joined the Pocket Tax Guide series. With the dawning of the publishing revolution of the
2nd decade of the century (spurred on by the rise of portable tablets) the Pocket Tax Guide series was converted to e-books for Nook and Kindle and compatible readers. In late 2010, Foolscap & Quill published its first
fiction book, The Crack in the Lens. A few months later Foolscap & Quill published its first fiction short story as a stand-alone e-book. Foolscap & Quill will be publishing
a number of new fiction and non-fiction books in paperback and e-book form in 2011 and 2012.
